Windshield properties of any insulant are based on its capacity to prevent air movements in its pores

Soft heat insulants possess good air permeability, thus its movements has to be prevented by the usage of special windshield materials. Hard heat insulants, on the contrary, possess good windshield resistance, i.e. enough air impermeability,  and they don't demand any windshield materials usage.

High-density insulant boards SOFTBOARD (240 kg/m3) possess very low degree of air permeability, and this ensures their usage as a reliable windshield in constructions of roofs and fronts. Superfine wood fibers of SOFTBOARD efficiently slow down air movements in boards, whereas air moisture changes result in the appearance of a thin paper-like film on the inner side of the material which prevents air stream inside the insulant.
