SOFTBOARD manufacturing process is a new step in heat and sound insulators manufacturing development 

SOFTBOARD is made from spruce and fir chips on a special deep wood processing technology. Wood is the only natural renewable building material aimed at human health and environment preserving. SOFTBOARD is manufactured using the so-called "eco-friendly" wet process. The wet process production uses the wood own cohesiveness - lignin resin - for the bonding of the finished material. This process does not require any additional chemical bonding agents. 

Wet process technology
 
Upon arrival at the plant, the wood chips are thermo-mechanically pulped and mixed with water into a suspension. The suspension is pumped into a forming box where vacuum pumps, press rolls and circulating air dryer form and dry the boards. After the boards are formed, they are placed on pallets and packaged.

SOFTBOARD density varies from 160 up to 350 kg/m3 and contains a huge number of little pores filled with air. SOFTBOARD 12 (density 250 kg/m3) contains 25 mln pores per 1 m2 wich corresponds to 60% porosity degree. Porosity degree in turn contributes to the main qualities of any heat and sound insulator: protection from cold, heat and noise.
